Chestnut 1777. Bred and raced by Sir Charles Bunbury. Ran in the first half of the 1780s, placing second to Anvil in 1782 in a £50 race at Newmarket; beaten by Dungannon in a race at Newmarket October in 1785. Sired the decent race horse Play or Pay (1791, later exported to U.S.) in England; sent to the U.S. at age 17, imported by T.M. Forman of Maryland in 1794. |
