DAM: Sprite by Blank - Fancy by Goliah - sister to Antelope by Young Belgrade - mare by Scarborough Colt - mare by Bartlett's Childers - mare by Devonshire Turk - mare by Curwen Bay Barb - mare by (Old) Spot - mare by Woodcock (Family 18). Chestnut 1777. Bred and raced by Sir Charles Bunbury. Ran in the first half of the 1780s, placing second to Anvil in 1782 in a £50 race at Newmarket; beaten by Dungannon in a race at Newmarket October in 1785. Sired the decent race horse Play or Pay (1791, later exported to U.S.) in England; sent to the U.S. at age 17, imported by T.M. Forman of Maryland in 1794. |
